Which cordless tools do the experts agree on most? This leaderboard ranks every tool we’ve scored by its Consensus Score: one number from 0 to 100 that combines independent expert reviews of that exact model. A tool only appears here once at least three experts have reviewed it, so every score rests on more than one opinion. How the Consensus Score works.

How to read the scores
- Compare within a tool type first. A saw and a drill are judged on different jobs, so an 88 saw isn’t “better” than a 79 drill; it just has stronger expert agreement among saws.
- A high score means experts agree, not that it’s right for you. The best tool is usually the one that fits the batteries you already own. Our buying guides explain the trade-offs.
- Scores change. When a new expert review of the exact model comes out, we recalculate. Tools can move up, down, or join the board.
